Stamped Concrete Projects
These photos show stamped concrete we have poured for homeowners around Macomb and Oakland County: backyard patios, a patio built around a fire pit, front walkways and a stamped driveway. Stamped concrete is poured like any slab, then pressed with textured mats while it is still workable, so it takes on the look of stone, slate or brick. Stamped work typically uses a base color plus a contrasting release color that settles into the texture and gives the stone its depth.
When you look through the gallery, notice the edges and the pattern layout. The patio in the collage uses a large ashlar slate pattern with a sweeping curved outline instead of a plain rectangle, with a hot tub set right on the slab. A curve or a border is one of the simplest ways to make a patio look designed rather than just poured.
